This week-end in Lot for the “Lot et laine” wool festival was fantastic. Of course it was, but I mean, really (above picture was taken early in the morning, before all the visitors arrived). There was tons of fantastic artisans and stores and workshops, and even more that I couldn’t attend because there was just […]

On Friday I went to Gap (in the french Alps) with a couple fellow ravelers to see the exposition displaying dozens of Wools of Europe. With helene, the Icelandic knitter we chatted about designing and Iceland, while with Alice we petted all the different wools and talked about spinning. The expo was fantastic: imagine a […]

My in-laws live by a lake here near Grenoble, and every 5 or 10 years, the lake freezes deep enough to make it safe to walk and skate on it. Lucky for us, this time we didn’t miss it. It was amazing. I never liked ice-skating before, you know, boring. This was sooooo different. We […]

Last sunday we had a table with my friend (she’s a photographer, come see one of her expos if you’re around !) at the local Xmas market. It was my first market ever, and slightly intimidating: I still don’t know that many people around but felt like a coming-out “Hello, I am a crafter!” ;-) […]

On saturday we had our first sewing workshop, together with a few friends to “test the waters”: I was surprised to see it actually took us nearly 3 hours to have everyone finish their first pad. And with none of them being an expert sewist, more attention was needed from me at each stage. Thus, […]
