Babouches, granny square based slippers

babouche3 The “Babouches” are part of my “around the granny square” Ebook: I love Granny squares and to think of new ways to use them.

These slippers are amazingly confortable, they follow the natural curves of your foot like a glove and I love their look, somehow between morrocan Babouches and the pointy shes of Louis XIV (I’m french)

I hope you will also find them fun to crochet, as their construction is a bit unusual, using shorter and longer stitches to do the shaping.

Rated as a “fantastic, clever pattern. What a great adaptation of a granny square/triangle. It was very fast to work up” by a lady who crocheted them.

A quick, fun and seamless project. What else can you ask for ? Great for last minute presents too !
