Holidays are over, would you believe I hardly touched my hooks for about a month and a half ? No crochet, too busy to read, swim, rest and spend time with friends and family… I did wear a lot my newsest crochet shawl though, the beautiful “Lizard shawl” by Jasmin Rŕ¤sŕ¤nen: a bold mix of airy […]

now testing my instructions for the boxy any-gauge sweater (obviously in dire need of a better name!) with salvaged gradient mohair yarn, in tones of purple… let’s see if this one turns out as intended: my plan is to make a pattern which works for any weight of yarn, bulky to worsted.. and maybe more. […]

Planned this one for months (maybe since last summer ?). Finally started before the holidays… Using 3 strands of thin yarn. The grey alpaca gives it a subtle variagated effects I just love. It’s now coming along nicely, although I’m still not too sure about the sleeves. Let’s see where this adventure will lead…

Bulky flower cardigan now has buttons… large enameled coconut shell buttons !! Took a moment to photograph this sleeveless version, and will now continue to add sleeves. Only downside being that I should have remembered: Filz = felt in german/related nordic languages if I’m not mistaken… Which explains how this “Filzy wool” is not really […]

When a girl gets bored crocheting a new design that’s already 99% written down (adult version of the Lutin Marguerite), what does she do ? Get started on a new one of course ! To be fair, I was doing a pretty good job plugging at it despite the boredom and lack of designing-challenge, getting […]

Good progress to be reported since last week. I closed the hood, crocheted along its edge to start on shoulders, separated sleeves… and continued down towards the waist. For the hip increases, I chose to gather them along each side and in the back. To beautify our perfectly flat stomachs ;-) Will soon run out […]

I currently have 2 hooded jackets on the hook. This one was started over a month ago, yet I’m still not done with the hood because… It started with this idea: make a hooded jacket with rainbow colors up the hood and down the edge of the jacket. After choosing colors among the super large […]

Acording to my notes on Ravelry, this jacket has been underway for over 2 years: right from the start, I had planned a boy’s version of the Ermeline hooded cardigan. A little shorter, boxier and with less flare around hips. Together with my husband – who is better equipped than me to know what boys […]

In an effort to update this blog more regularly, i’ll try adding new categories… and stick to them ! I’ve been crocheting pretty steadily lately, just don’t show it all. One of my projects was a baby blue cardigan for my niece. Yep, that’s the cardigan I mentionned about the cute daisy “Marguerite” stitch. Marie’s […]
