Last week we went away for a few days with the girls to my granmother’s chalet, as it’s hard to keep them busy here in our tiny appartment. I brought a few projects with me and although I didn’t do half as much as expected, I still have a couple (unfinished) things to show.
I [...]

I found those little squares and the remaining yarn (Patons Beehive Fingering) at my local thrifstore a couple weeks ago. I’m usually not a big fan of puffy flowers but really those looked so deliciously vintage that I grabbed them. Prune helped me find a way to arrange the colors in a nice way [...]

I really thought I was going to try my hand on a wheel for the very first time this week, as my friend Claudia bought one (a Louet S10, same as the one I plan on buying as soon as we move to a larger place) and invited me to try it with her, .. [...]

It snowed a bit here in France this week-end and we went up to the local mountain for the girl’s first ski session of the year.

Here’s them both, Prune on skis and Maud in the little sledge. Maud also did her very first ever session of ski, but she seems [...]

When designing new patterns, I like to have a look at a million pictures of related-or-not projects, as it seems to help decide what I actually look for in that new design. As some of you may have figured, I’m on this total granny-square kick lately. So I’ve been hunting the internet, looking for all [...]

So cool, my Granny mitts were featured in Lime & Violet this week. :-D
Craftzine chose instead to feature my old “Handmade gift pouch” Tutorial… Hey why not, it’s a freebie so might as well get twice more use.. ! :-P
Late post this week, but we’ve been away all week visiting my in-laws.
We had taken the [...]

Now I need to make the second one and add buttons. Let’s just hope she won’t lose them too fast… :-P

So I’ve finished crocheting all 4 Granny mitts, and am now starting the thumbs. I was a bit anxious about those thumbs but it seems the option I chose should look reaaaally nice ! I can’t wait to have them all done and show them to you… :-P
I’ll try to write the pattern down [...]

I’m currently quite obsessed with granny squares. And as if I hadn’t started enough new projects lately, I started working on a new design this week: here’s my first prototype of granny mitts. Still needs a thumb and probably nicer-looking buttonloop.
These are made with some Silk Garden I won in a bloggy contest ages [...]

And speaking of ChezPlum patterns, The “bag a month” group on Ravelry chose to knit my Isabeau purse this month.. Cool, I never tire from seeing [...]
