Jehanne hooded capelet: progress report

The hood for the long-awaited adult version of the Ermeline is now done, and I reaaaaally like it. Especially when worn loose on your back. (sorry, couldn’t take any decent pics)

My in-laws live by a lake here near Grenoble, and every 5 or 10 years, the lake freezes deep enough to make it safe to walk and skate on it. Lucky for us, this time we didn’t miss it. It was amazing.

I recently bought several books on felting, and decided it was time to experiment with this dyed-and-accidentally-felted wool batt I’ve kept for years( Dying a merino batt with the microwave method doesn’t work… unless your purpose is to make pretty felt ! :-)
