Perfect hexagons for my perfect cardi…

I haven’t finished my previous project and have yet to make another one (my friend is so waiting for it)

But I’m already dreaming up yet another project: a cardigan, crocheted with lots of colors of Lett Lopi icelandic yarn, and featuring hexagon motifs for the lower section. After searching all my motifs books and trying a couple, … of course I ended up writing my own perfect hexagon motif. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and should work fantastic for that project. (also, not having to use someone else’s motif for my own design solves a lot of issues :-D)

I used a hank of hand-dyed Cascade wool 220 and 5.5 mm hook for this one. Next I’ll have to try it with the Lett Lopi and see if it works out as pretty.

But ahem, let’s return to the asymetric dress for my friend first. The colors should be pretty together, what do you think ? It will be kind of similar to the plum and white asymetric tunic I showed in the previous post, but without the granny triangle. Should be interesting !
