Old FOs: Help me find a name !
Ages ago, I made those funky scarves, the first one being for a scarf show in Seattle (where it sold and I was so proud).
A lot of people commented how they liked the scarves… but I never got around writing down the pattern, mostly because I had such high strandards for it (wanted to write a full tutorial on how to choose the right assorment of yarns ect…)
And suddenly today I find myself working on this pattern again. At least for the first scarf, and may add the variation for the second a bit later.
Except it still doesn’t have a name !!! I’m looking for a pretty name, with maybe a touch of fun inside ? A french name it could be too.
I thought of accordŕ©on, but it doesn’t sound nice. Mayonnaise did convey the idea of fun of all those mixed colors and textures, yet I’m not sure it sounds very poetic ? :-P
So I’d love to hear your suggestions if you have any !! Of course I’ll send you a copy of the pattern if I choose your name. :-)
I’m also finally working on this little girl’s cardigan “Gudule”. My older daughter rediscovered hers lately and declared it “her favorite sweater”!! (those pics date back to a couple years tho)
Now if only I could dig out the smaller plum sample to check gauge and work out the sizing… :-P

I know this sounds nutty but the bumps on the scarf look like the fungi that grows off of trees. Only they’re cream colored. Psychadelic fungi? you probably don’t want that connotation!

Thanks for all your suggestions, I do love “whirlygig” too, janice. However Stephanie Japel called one of her patterns this recently…
Still thinking about it, along with other suggestions I got on Facebook.
Will keep you posted ! :-)

How about Turkish Tops? They look like spinning tops. Except “toupie” in my French dictionary also means silly woman(?!).
