Yesterday we had a fantastic day : We went to the Semnoz, the local mountain to ski with the girls. … & of course I was wearing my new hat ! ;-)

The bad side was I had to wait nearly an hour to buy the tickets, and by that time the clouds were hiding the sun.

BUT both girls skied, and enthusiastically too ! We were both stoked to see Prune able to turn and stop by herself (she’s only 4 1/2). She’s really progressed a lot this year and masters her skis quite well now.
It was equally amazing to see little Maud take the lifts (with us of course) and go down the slopes in between our skis. Maud who is usually so cautious and not as go-go-go as her sister, seemed to love it. And she’s starting to stand well on the skis on the own. Laurent could even not hold her at all sometimes while going down. (not for long though or her skis would cross !!)
After 2 hours of ski, they were both crying… because they wanted more !! :-)

We were too busy looking after the girls to take pics and videos but had to take at least one. And if you’ve seen the previous video of Prune on her bike, you might enjoy this one… She hasn’t changed one bit… !! ;-)
She was indeed turning at the beginning, and you can see Maud and Laurent right behind..

It was really a fine family day, so nice to ski all 4 together. :-D

Now Christmas is approaching, and as we were discussing it with my friend Emily, it’s really a very important date here in France. To us, it’s like THE big festive time of the year, when all families gather and have large family reunions. (there is no such thing as thanksgiving here)

So we’ll be off to my parent’s place for a couple days, and the girls will decorate a Xmas tree. Then we’ll be off again to see the rest of my (really large) family including my cousin’s newly adopted sons. That will be nice !
