Fiber calendar for 2009, what do you think ?

So I never managed to buy a calendar for 2008 and really missed it this year, missing all sorts of meetings and generally never really catching up on things. So I knew I’d have one hanging in my kitchen this year no matter what.
I bought 2 yesterday (including a beautiful one for Rebecca Dautremer, just because it’s beautiful!). But I also looked around (ahem, meaning on Etsy) for a pretty fiber-oriented calendar but didn’t find any. And tought why not make my own ?

Here’s what I got to show for tonight’s work. What do you think ? So far it’s only a (large!) jpg image but I’ll try to turn it into pdf format later. If anybody wants to try, here’s the large size: How does it print on your printer ? Seems the american printing format is a bit different from what we have here, plus I can’t even print mine in color.. :-/ (will try to get kind peeps around to print me a color copy.. :-P)
I kind of really like it, although I may change the background color. It’s still a work-in-progress.. ;-)

Let me know what you think: if you like it, I’ll post the rest of the months for a full 2009 print-your-own fiber calendar.
ETA: I’ve since found this, which would make the whole process soooooo much easier. We’ll see if I ever find some time to finish mine.. ;-)

Oh and the second part of my Hackle-adventure is coming soon, as well as a whole lot of things I need to blog about…

    Oh, I love this idea,
I have never thought about using YARN pictures as calendar’s pics…
When I have a kid, I will think of using my kid’s pics :)
