Sylvie, oh how I love your patterns! I love granny squares too, and it’s wonderful the way you use them in your patterns. They’re featured, but the garments aren’t just a compilation of squares. Delightful! I know I’m not alone in looking forward to what you come up with next!
Thank you,
Deena

It was great to catch up yesterday. I’m getting totally hooked on my granny squares. Why are they so addictive? I’m looking forward to trying some of your variations.

Hi Sylvie. I too love the granny square and I do like the way you work yours into regular crochet too (not just all grannys) I remember (won’t tell you how long ago that was though lol) when I first learned the granny square. Omg I just couldn’t get it, however, I didn’t (and still don’t) give up easy, so, I ripped out many times and after I would say 6 hours if not more, I finally got it (taught myself to crochet) At the time I was trying this granny square, we had got a transfer to London, England and I didn’t know anyone there. However, once I made my first granny, within a couple of hours, I made app. 25 of them. Not bad for a girl who didn’t get it at first lol. Now I love to see things made with grannys and also different types of grannies. Last year, I was looking for a simple gift to make, you guessed it I made 1 large granny square afghan lol. The couple who received my gift were very happy with it. Anyways, all this to say, loves grannys lol. Thanks for sharing your works with us.

Sylvie, I am an avid crocheter and avid collector of patterns. I so love your unique use of the granny squares particularly in Ermeline! I make most of my clothes homemade and am always on the lookout for cute crocheted clothing! I have a large family and make all my own gifts for friends and family these would be a treasure to my collection and inspiration for me as well. After nearly 20yrs of crocheting I am tentatively attempting to start making some of my own creations as well. I am constantly looking for new techniques and inspiration; as well as trying to challenge myself to enhance my skill and passion for this obsessive art!
