We’re just coming back from 2 weeks away on a faraway island, for my brother’s wedding, & I can finally show all the things I made for my now-official sister in law and their 2 delicious little girls!! :-)

Look at my 2 princesses, so happy in their beautiful dresses ! :-)

The colors for the wedding were orange, chocolate and ivory. And my SIL once told me she loved turquoise.
I knew I wanted to make her a bag, and this was the perfect occasion to make the Taxi Tote, one of the main reasons why I bought the book “Seams to me”. I loved making this project, adding my own little touches (contrasting zigzag seams, stretchy knit bias, 2 colors with a high-impact trim…). I’m still not very used to following a sewing pattern, especially in english and I’ll admit I mostly followed my instinct once the pieces were cut.
I’m really proud of the result though, and I was happy to see my SIL seemed to like it too! :-D

For my nieces I wanted to make little aprons. I followed the general shape from one apron we had at home, and enlarged it for the larger size. They are both reversible, so that once they are dirty on one side, they can still be used and be pretty ;-) (or rather, so that the girls can choose their favorite side! :-P)

Of course I had my usual matryoshka appliquŕ©s, and added little pockets with pretty trims.
I chose to make one tie of each color, so that they would kind of mix with either of the reversible sides.
The aprons are 2 different sizes: I’m keeping the templates for more kids aprons !!

Mon sac a eu un très grand succès auprès de mes collègues. Du coup elles veulent toutes ton adresse. Encore merci car je l’aime beaucoup et encore bravo pour ton travail et tes belles crĂ©ations.
