Bottlegreen and Gunmetal, somehow..
Here’s the final pics of the Corriedale roving I dyed for katy, the winner of a custom skein of handpainted and handspun yarn. She said her favorite colors are bottlegreen and gunmetal, and wanted to knit some socks with that yarn. I had to juggle a bit to get the colors I wanted, and of course they’re probably not 100% spot on those colors but then that’s also what makes hand-dyed yarn special.. or at least I hope.. :-P Now I just hope she likes it !
I’ll start spinning it, as soon as I get her “green light”.. ;-)
Finished spinning the first half of my fiber from the swap yesterday night, and I’m just amazed by the looks of the plied yarn. WOW ! I’m not too sure what kind of yardage I’ll get in the end but I’d love to knit something very special with it, maybe a little vesty thing, or a shawlette..?

I just logged in at work (naughty!) to show off my prize to my colleagues and was delighted to see your progress. I am grinning ear to ear, in fact. Consider this a green light…
