Another first : Xmas market
Last sunday we had a table with my friend (she’s a photographer, come see one of her expos if you’re around !) at the local Xmas market. It was my first market ever, and slightly intimidating: I still don’t know that many people around but felt like a coming-out “Hello, I am a crafter!” ;-) (Thanks to Aurore for her pics :-) )
Oh and the sweater you see me finishing on those pics is my beloved Iro “Brunehilde” sweater. Am wearing it as I type and it’s so perfect. I need to take good pictures to show it !
Even though it was a bit of a last minute thing (we only got the confirmation a couple weeks before), I sewed like a madwoman before the market to make little felt ornaments and 5 skirts, on top of my usual knit/crocheted items.
I didn’t sell everything, and certainly not the things I thought I would. But it was a great experience and a way to let people know more about spinning yarn… and my workshops. Let’s hope it brings a few positive contacts ! :-)
I made several new things while preparing for the market, and am hoping to publish tutorials or patterns for several sometime this winter. I’ll just need a little time ! :-)

I love the wave stitch hat. That’s one of my favorite crochet stitches. I have made two cowls with it. ;-)

Ah yes. Time. That’s what I want for Christmas! Well done, looks like a great market debut.
