I made this photo frame for my mom’s birthday. Change the colors, buttons and theme and make one for any special occasion !

You could make one in red and green for Christmas, or in baby pink/blue with heart appliqués for a baby shower… Be inspired, be creative !

What you’ll need :
- An unvarnished/unfinished photo frame (in craft stores).
- Acrylic paint and a paint brush.
- Scraps of felt in colors that contrast well with the paint color.
- A few colorfull small buttons, sewing thread + needle.
- Sharp scissors and a pen.
- Super glue.
Remove the glass (to avoid staining it) and paint the frame with 2 coats of acrylic paint.

Draw cute shapes on the wrong side of felt, cut and embroider sides with sewing thread. Before cutting thread, add a second motif on top in contarsting color if desired and sew button on top.

I like to make heart motifs, or flowers… My daughter had also chosen a special strawberry button which we sewed on top of a leaf motif. Cute shaped buttons also add a lot !

Finally, glue your felt-and-buttons motifs on corners of frame with superglue, add a cute picture in your photo frame.. and you’re done !!! :-D
