Yesterday I started spinning my Fiber Swap Art batts. As you can see, I love color ;-) Needle-felted some flowers, beads and oddments, and spun using the autowrapping and foreign objects techniques from “Sit and spin“. I love that the batts contain all sorts of fibers and textures (including chunks of locks) which renders beautifully […]

So, yesterday I Sat and spun until 10 pm… :-P To reply to Jacey‘s comment, yes I’m spinning on a kick-spindle and have to slighlty adjust the techniques so I can use them with the spindle. But really it looks like most should work just fine. Just not sure I can do the racing stripes, […]

Material Whirled is having a Valentine yarn Giveaway. You gotta have a look there, first maybe to try to win the yummy skein of handspun, but most of all, to read all the fantastic quotes in the comments. (and another cool contest here, to win a beautiful nacho nuno-felted poncho) I have finally finished working […]

Publishing 2 posts today but I’d just rather make the most of the free time ahead for once, with both girls asleep and hopefully recovering from the cold and ear infection they caught last week. They’ve had plenty of time inside and rest but I guess they’re just tired of this first trimester of school/daycare… […]
