I recently heard about 2 book projects currently accepting crochet submissions, and thought you might want to give it a try too :-)

Storey publishing is preparing a crochet version of their popular “101 one-skein projects” series. Deadline is August 31st, compensation is $101 but you can submit projects that have already been published (or self-published), [...]

Posted: Sunday, July 17th, 2011 @ 2:31 pm in Crochet | No Comments »

I finished my hooded Jehanne cardigan (the adult version of Ermeline) just in time so I could take it along to the festival. And laurent snapped a few pictures right before hopping in the car…

The pattern is currently being tested, and should be available by august/september. Subscribe to my newsletter to be the [...]

Posted: Friday, July 15th, 2011 @ 11:53 am in Crochet | No Comments »

I had prepared another lovely cuff project, with felted wool and leather.. fun ! But the kids I taught this morning were pretty unanimous in their choice: felted soaps !!!

So felted soaps we made, with 10 kids around the table (I was supposed to have only 5 of them, but another group joined in). Luckily [...]

In order to double-check the pattern for my Jehanne hooded cardi before I hand it out to testers, I started a second one, this time in brown and green (=colors I had around). I’ll try to finish it before the festival in July… Crocheting as fast as I can ! :-)

July is going to be exciting, with the first “Lot et Laine” wool festival here in France on July 9-10. Of course I’ll be there, and here’s a sneak peek at what I’ll bring along:

I will be teaching a workshop to learn to make felted soaps on sunday, and another workshop on granny squares [...]

Crocheted summer hat and potholders

Posted: Thursday, June 16th, 2011 @ 2:36 pm in Crochet, Family | No Comments »

We’re just coming back from 5 days on the french Riviera (or nearly). It was warm, the flowers and herbs smelled beautifully as always, and the cicadas sang their lovely summery song.

On the local market, I found this awesome hat. “It’s hand-crocheted” the lady said. Of course I knew, it was actually the reason [...]

Jehanne hooded cardigan and potholders

Posted: Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 @ 9:11 pm in Crochet | 1 Comment »

My Jehanne cardigan still needs buttons… and a second sleeve, yet it’s nearly finished !
I fought with numbers and sizing all afternoon and am nearly done with the pattern. Despite June not being the best time of year to crochet a woolen cardigan, I hope to find a few willing testers to help [...]

Old FOs: Help me find a name !

Ages ago, I made those funky scarves, the first one being for a scarf show in Seattle (where it sold and I was so proud).
A lot of people commented how they liked the scarves… but I never got around writing down the pattern, mostly because I had such high strandards for it (wanted [...]

New ebook: “Mom and me”

Posted: Thursday, March 31st, 2011 @ 11:27 am in Crochet, chezPlum Patterns | No Comments »

I had this ebook in mind for quite a while, a collection of matching projects for fashionable and funky kids and their moms. Now that the Jehanne capelet is finished, it was high time I got started on this ! :-)
There could be more projects, with matching slippers (Babouches and baby babouches) or hats (Altay [...]
