my older daughter has been asking for a long hood for ages. and ages.

i did need a sample garment to photograph each step of the construction of a tailor-made cardigan for my workshop. this seemed like a good occasion to make her something. work on the basis of a regular top-down cardigan, and add a hood afterwards.

we rummaged through my stash, and finally settled on remnants of Cascade Eco+. pretty flashy set of colors, but i figured it should work.

started to crochet, trying the yoke and cardigan as i went on my daughter. fittings and more fittings to get it just right for her.

well guess what ? she loves it. even added a pompom to customize it to her own taste.

me ? of course. especially those sideways puffs and braided edging…

yarn for mine is now on its way. can’t wait!
& this time there will be a pattern. :-)
