New pattern, and a new cardi
Late on schedule, let me present you my newest pattern, the Baby Altay hat ! Based on the same principles as the adult version, the Altay hat (soon to be published in Annie Modessit’s new book “1000 knit and crocheted hats”).
I made tons of those little hats, and they are so quick to make ! The patterns gives instructions for 4 sizes, ranging from newborn to 9 months, using dk weight yarn. Just like the adult version, I always get so many compliments from people who see them ! I hope you’ll love the Baby Altay hat too ! :-)
GIVEAWAY: For the release of this new pattern, I am giving away 2 copies of the pattern. Just leave me a comment telling me why you’d like a copy ! :-) I’ll annouce the winners in my next post ! ;-) Be quick !
And for those who can’t wait, you can get yours here or on Ravelry.
Price: $5
I still need to finish working on the hooded cardi. So little remaining, yet I’ve started on another project. Because my favourite ever cardi, a pretty rasperry-colored ribbed asymetrical cardigan, is showing bad signs of wear. I looked high and low for a ready-made pattern, couldn’t locate the one I know I have… and settled meanwhile on the crazy collar cardigan that’s been sitting high in my queue for ages. So yest, I’m knitting again. But for a good cause… I can’t wait to wear that one ! :-)
Oh, and the pretty yarn was sent to me by a kind lady as a swap for patterns. “Fairy hare”, with angora and Merino. Looks yummy, I’ll have to decide on a pretty project to use it. :-)

That hat is the absolutely cutest little baby hat I have ever seen! I know I could make it! Just looking at it fills me with warm fuzzies and the thought of cuddling little baby while dressed up in the hat just send me over the edge with feel good endorphins! Oh please, pick me! :)

I love this hat – so reminiscent of afgans we had growing up. What a wonderful way to show homage to my childhood in my own son.

I’m usually more of a knitter, but that hat is so cute it makes me want to pick up my hook right away!

My husband and I are trying for a baby now and I am busy crocheting up a bunch of cute baby stuff. I have 6 children, many nieces and nephews. As my two oldest children are quite a bit older grand-babies will be arriving within just a few short years and I know a ton of crafters that I can direct to your pattern!!!!
