Felt beads with the girls

Today Prune’s teacher was on strike, the whole school was closed and both girls stayed at home. Since I’d like to learn and make felt adornments for my art-yarns, I took this occasion and offered them to make felt beads for a necklace for Prune’s teacher. (not sure she’s the kind to wear necklaces, but Oh well…)

Found a tutorial here, installed a bowl of soapy water and got some various colored bits of wool tops. And off we were, rolling and rolling the wool in our hands. My water was apparently too soapy so I had to fudge several times. But I had a great time experimenting with several shapes, beads and dendrils and rings…

However, Prune and Maud got tired of it earlier than me, and after playing with bits of wool, they soon went back to more classical activities… :-)

Next step for me : I want to learn needle-felting to make all sorts of stars and flowers… :-P
ETA: Will learn to make felted soaps as well ! :-D

Thats beautifull, just as your pictures! Is everything back to normal in France today? Or are the strikes continueing?
It was on the news overhere last night. Only filming in Paris, but it looks serious!
