Books, and new pics for the Gallery

This morning Maud & I went grocery shopping as the cupboards were starting to be dangerously empty… and I came back with this book. I’ve already read about half of the 350 pages, such an amazing book ! It seems it’s not available on amazon.com yet, so here’s the french link. Simply a beautiful set of women’s portraits, strong women with all their unique life stories. Women from every corner of the world including remote areas such as Dolgans way out north of Siberia… I love it. (I also couldn’t resist a super funky orange bobbly new bathmat but I’ll spare you the pics for now..)
Which reminds me of those 2 books I know I’ll add to my bookshelf someday, bà©bà©s du monde and Diveded twins, Siberia and Alaska (which I nearly bought ages ago in Homer Alaska in a quaint book store). Let’s hope for a house with a nice library for all my books someday… ;-)

I’m working on my new hat design. Amazing how the design and numbers are all set and ready to be written, and yet I’m working on my 4th prototype to figure out the best yarn and color combo to get it all perfect. Seems it’s coming along though…

And here are some beautiful FOs from ChezPlum patterns I’ve been meaning to share for a while (but so little time and so many things to do!):

Tonomi aka Tomtom on Ravelry made both the Dancing Poppies scarf and scarflette and says “What a great pattern! I really really love your design(^.^) (..) All my friends love your design and they always ask me to knit someting from your patterns. Iâ??m so delighted! ”
Because I’ve upgraded to the new WordPress which won’t let me choose the size of each pic’s icon individually, I’m not too sure how to add those to the Gallery, but I’ll try ! :-P

Finally, have a look at those beautiful Roselette by designer/blogger Anna Maria Horner. So very pretty ! Head over to her blog to read why the girls decided to wear them with the buttons in front ! :-) (I hope she won’t mind the screenshot! :-P)

I’ve had several requests lately for larger sizes for the Roselette pattern so I may be working on that soon(ish).
