More granny squares and update on my friend

Look, more cool Vroomies ! This lady crocheted the car and van for her grandson’s Xmas present.(Rav’ link). Love the photo too ! I’ve just added it to my Gallery.
And speaking of ChezPlum patterns, The “bag a month” group on Ravelry chose to knit my Isabeau purse this month.. Cool, I never tire from seeing more of them.. :-D

Remember those huge granny squares from last post ? They will probably become a capelet (maybe with-hood) but I have to gather the strength to dive in and actually transform them into a capelet (= cut the yarn, which means more or less no turning back!)

I’ve also started a new granny square project: ah, how I love the granny squares !!! Those are still crocheted on pretty large hook (10 mm), and are for a regular comforter blankie this time, for my friend N. (the one I made the raffle for): her situation is getting better, she’s just moved in a new (& much cheaper) flat. I’m pretty sure they’ll be nice and cozy there, but it’s still a bit of change for both PLUS my friend needs to renovate the whole flat by herself (clean and paint all walls & ceilings , redo the wallpapers etc..). Still a bit of a stressful time for her, and I thought she needed a cozy blankie to cuddle in this winter… :-) Should look nice, and I’m having a lot of fun crocheting it ! :-D

I’m also researching all kind of patterns to start knitting with my own handspun. I have this vision of a mini shawl/stole, but with approx. 200 m possibilities are limited. I may end up improvising something… as usual ! ;-)

That blanket will look gorgeous, the photo reminds me of deep red roses in new summer foliage. Just the thing in winter weather.
