The ripping has begun..

Last week I worked on math a couple nights. Then I started ripping about half of the Violaine top. I guess I’m altogether excited about this design and afraid to see it turning not as it should… I added a couple rounds to it yesterday night during our SnB meeting though. I’ll try to stick to it before I start any other design. (and I have several that I’m dying to start !)

I finished another mutlicolored beret. It really deserves better pics though, I need to ask my parter for a decent photoshoot… I also need a mannequin’s head (might make one if I find the time).

And here’s the one I’ll have finished soon, made with purplish Monoprix thick and thin yarn (same yarn as the Plassard “Versatile”) and old yellow textured cotton. When I first saw those 2 yarns together while working on the former beret, I knew I wanted a whole project with those 2 yarns. Perfect example of what to do with those weird-looking yarns: I know the yellow nubby cotton would look awful if knitted on its own, but it adds a lot of texture and interest when combined with another more “normal” yarn. (see it also in action in Emily’s beret)
