Feeling productive

The Banjo Bag is now being tested. The pattern should be ready by next week or so… after I do a little swatch to check gauge… Yeah I know that’s usually what people start with!! ;-) I also plan a matching beret with the same colours if I have enough of the black yarn.. (a freebie ?)

I’m also hard at work on the sizing of that cute crochet top. For once I’m not just changing the numbers as I wanted to keep exactly the same look on all sizes. And bulky yarn would not work on a newborn baby.. ;-) So I’m keeping the same instructions and numbers from newborn to 4T sizes, but changing the yarn weight and hook sizes. And am therefore making a sample in each “size” to check the yardage/gauge ect… Also, I have to say they’re so much fun to make I’m enjoying it.. (the length are a bit off though as I don’t always have enough yarn… still works tho :-P)

I’ve made 3 so far (just need to sew buttons on the 2 smaller ones), and started on 2 more. Then I’ll do the final edits on the pattern and it will be all good ! :-)

Oh also I finally (re)started a MySpace. As usual, I’m SylvChezPlum there. Add me if you’re around, or you can also check out some cool french music in my “friends”.. :-)

I absolutely adore these little tops, they’re ever so cute! I wish I could crochet a bit better – I only know the basics, but will definitely have to learn more about it – there’s so many cute and beautiful crochet patterns out there! Thanks for the inspiration!
