A hole in my beret…

So I started the beret (pattern in Marie-Claire IdāŠes) for my MIL the other day with much confidence. Yes, one skein would do since I had only one. It would.

And now I have about 5 grams of yarn left, and still about 10 rows to go.. Arghh ! I have to buy more… :-P
Which would be no biggie if my LYS carried Noro yarns, obviously. But that doesn’t happen in France…

Anyhow, I love the beret so far, and the Kureyon !! Can’t wait for more yarn to finish it up.

I also started on a Cold Shoulder Capelet yesterday night with some deep purple mohair yarn from the stash. It should be beautiful, but finding the stitches was a bit hard. Or will it be easier with daylight..?

More mini crafting with Prune the other day as well. An empty box of rice, black marker, needle and yarn … and we had these dolls !

I’d like to make a proper template for them to add in a forthcoming “freebies” page (thus the paper underneath). We’ll say those were my first draft… ;-)

I’m having the same problem with a hat for my dad. No matter how much I plead with the yarn I’m still going to have to find another skein. Yours is looking really pretty. :)

The pattern for that Noro beret is awfully like this one http://www.xs4all.nl/~tdpj/HTM/Norohat.htm
