I just found this cool site, Island of Misfit patterns. Cool concept, publish the rejected patterns. Plus I love some of the patterns over there: check out the Cowabunga ! I NEED to make one for Laurent, or my brother or whoever !

Weather is getting a bit cooler over here now (no snow dumps yet tho !! ;-P ) and I’m finally wearing my Loop d Loop Yoke vest. Just crocheted a row of sc around the collar tho to make it stand up better, I’m loving it ! (will add a row of sc around waist too to prevent curling, just need to get a bit of that yarn back from my friend..)

And. I’m finally getting back to knitting. Such a nice feeling, mindlessly knitting away in the park with Prune or while watching a movie… :-P
So I’m making another cardi. The pattern’s been in my mind for a while, and swatching made me realise it won’t be exactly like I thought it would for “technical” reasons but hopefully it will be nice too… Or I’ll frog and twist the numbers again !
The yarn is the delicious Malabrigo worsted weight I got at Pureknits, in Calypso. I guess I had never knitted with merino before..? I just LOVE it !

See that blue “knitting bag” btw..? It’s made by “Lowe”, probably to carry some highly specialized trekking gear … But seeing it the other day I realised it would be good size for knitting. And you know what ? It actually is, perfect ! When I finally get around making one, I’ll use it as a model.. ;-)
